Homeward bound pet of the week: Jacque

Fast & Furriest

Meet Jacque, a 2 ½ year old Jack Russell Terrier, is the epitome of a JRT.  He looks like he just stepped off the cover of a magazine!  He’s that handsome plus has a great personality to boot!    Jacque loves to walk on a leash and enjoys a jaunt in a fenced-in yard.  He is house trained and up to date on all vaccinations and monthly preventatives.  If you are familiar with JRTs, you know that these little terriers are barky.  Jacque is no exception.  He would undoubtedly be quieter when he gets the attention he craves. The former owner told us that Jacque is deaf, however, he has reacted to some noise at the kennel, so we think he may not be completely deaf.  He has not been around cats or kids.  Jacque will need a family who understands his breed, personality and needs.

Homeward Bound is a 501c3 non-profit organization.  Follow us on FB and see our available pets on our website: hbpr.org

Annie O is available for immediate adoption and is also available for a foster home in the Gilmer/Fannin Co. area.  Information and application available on hbpr.org.

Coco is not just another pretty face.  She also is a fabulous fetch and retrieve sort of girl!  Believe it or not, she was left behind in the house when her family moved out.  The current owners found her when they were moving in.  Unfortunately, they could not keep her.  She is house trained, knows some commands and will be completely vetted on 12/6.

Coco is available for immediate adoption and is also available for a foster home in the Gilmer/Fannin Co. area.  Information and application available on hbpr.org.

Homeward Bound Pet of the Week: Micah

Fast & Furriest

Meet Micah, an 8 month old, 20 lb. lab/flat coat mix. Micah has had a tough life in such a short time. He’s recently been rescued from a hoarding situation with 25+ dogs. He has had limited experience with the human touch until he got to Homeward Bound. We are socializing him with the volunteers and other dogs. He is learning to trust. Micah has never been house trained and we are working on that but it takes consistency that only a home where someone can supervise regularly. He’s catching on and connecting the dots about what to do when he’s out walking. He’s an eager student and am sure he’ll do well.
