Homeward bound pet of the week: Leila

Fast & Furriest

Meet Leila who appears to be a lab mix puppy who was found along a busy highway. She has been living in a foster home where she is learning house manners including house, crate and leash training. She has all the puppy traits; playful and loves to chew on everything. Until she is through this puppy stage, Leila will need a lot of tough chew toys to help her through this stage.

We believe Leila’s date of birth is around 10/15/22. As of 12/13, she weighed 16 lbs.  Leila is available for immediate adoption.  Apply for Leila’s adoption on our website: hbpr.orgAdoption agreement will also include future boosters and spay/neuter agreement.

Homeward bound pet of the week: Tangie

Fast & Furriest

Meet Tangie who was most recently known as Pumpkin when she was adopted several months ago.  Tangie’s life had been turned upside down due to illness in the family and nobody available to care for her.  Tangie is 10+ years old and weighs around 12 lbs.; a perfect lap warmer size!

Tangie is house trained, very quiet, enjoys riding in a car and is fine with other little dogs.  She is available for immediate adoption at hbpr.org.

Homeward bound pet of the week: Henri

Fast & Furriest

Henri was a lost boy in animal control that sadly no one came to claim. He is a terrier mix with a very soft but coarse coat. Don’t let that bit of frost on his face fool you – he is a very spunky 7 year old. He will be completely vetted in September.

Henri has a strong prey drive and walks with his nose to the ground constantly looking for something to sniff out. At this time, we are going to say no cats, please. He can pull, but at only 21#’s he is fairly easy to walk and would do well with a harness. Learn more about him at hbpr.org.

Homeward bound pet of the week: Sparkley

Fast & Furriest

Do you have a place in your heart for Sparkley, the huggy hound?  This gorgeous 18 month old, 35#  gentle heart was rescued from a horrendous predicament along with numerous other dogs.  How she maintains her loving personality and eagerness to trust is beyond imagination.  Just goes to prove that dogs “live in the moment”.  Sparkley doesn’t hold a grudge; only love.

Sparkley is available for an immediate adoption and is also available for a foster home in the Gilmer/Fannin Co. area.  Information and application available on hbpr.org.

Fast & Furriest

Meet Butterfinger, a handsome 33 lb.,  8 month old who was rescued in a cruelty/neglect case with several other starving dogs.  At this time, he is still learning to

trust people and is improving with more of a waggy tail every day.  His shyness is endearing; no doubt, but we can’t wait until his real personality shines through and can smile!
