Homeward Bound Pet Of The Week: Hendrick

Community, Fast & Furriest

Meet Hendrick, a 32 lb., 5-year-old Boston mix, who was surrendered to animal
control when his owner passed away. Hendrick is a playful little guy who enjoys a leisurely walk in the woods where he can sniff all things wonderful!

When given the opportunity in a fenced area, he will entertain you with zoomies until he can’t
run any longer and then will let you know it’s time to leave. He gets along well
with other dogs and has only shown curiosity with cats! He did well as our Pet of
the Week at The Cartecay Brewing Company meeting everyone with a smile!

Homeward Bound Pet Of The Week: Ohisi and Dandy

Community, Fast & Furriest

Dandy

Meet Ohisi, a female terrier mix, about 10 years old, who is bonded with her buddy, 5 year old, Dandy.  They are owner surrenders due to the passing of their owner and the family was not able to care for them.  Both weigh around 17 lbs.

Both dogs are snuggly, love to leash walk together, play together and would provide hours of entertainment and a lifetime of love!  They are located at Homeward Bound Pet Rescue near Blue Ridge, GA.

Homeward Bound, Jack

Fast & Furriest

Meet Jack, a 14 year old Jack Russell terrier with the heart and mind of a pup half his age.  This little guy weighs 17 ½ lbs.  Jack is good on a leash; house trained; and at this time, is confused as to why he is in a kennel.  He was in a home where he was loved his whole life but his dad passed away and the family didn’t want him.  Jack’s adoption fee is $90.  He is current on all vaccinations and neutered.

Jack is located at Homeward Bound Pet Rescue in Blue Ridge, GA.

Homeward Bound Pet of the Week – Levi

Fast & Furriest

Meet Levi, a 7 ½ lb., 4-year-old rat terrier who was surrendered due to his fear of
thunderstorms. We have found that a thunder shirt and a calming chew works
wonders for him. He is a little love bug with limited socialization. He loves
people, acts like he wants to make friends with other dogs but runs back to his
person if someone growls. He didn’t know what to think of the kittens at the
shelter and had no reaction except to bury his head into me.

Levi is located at Homeward Bound Pet Rescue in Blue Ridge, GA.

Homeward Bound Pet Rescue- Pet of the Week- Daisy

Fast & Furriest

Meet Daisy, a 65 lb., 7 year old staffie mix who was surrendered to us when she
was only 6 months old. Over the years, Daisy has had her share of potential
adopters but they always chose someone else. At this time, Daisy thinks the
kennel volunteer are her family and the shelter, her home. It’s going to take a
very special person or family to help her through a transition of a real home.

Daisy loves to exercise in a fenced area and can run like the wind. She walks great
on a leash; gives kisses regularly; enjoys a soup bone with marrow; and loves
riding in a car. An ideal placement would be with her as an only dog and no cats!
Daisy is located at Homeward Bound Pet Rescue in Blue Ridge. Please contact us
for an appointment. Apply online: www.hbpr.org.

Meet Layla, a 7-year-old, 35 lb. people lover! Next to her smile, her brindle

tail. Her perfect placement would be as an only dog as she is choosy about her
dog friends.

Meet Gus, a handsome 40# terrier about a year old. Gus is an energetic puppy boy who was a
stray before going to doggy jail, so we have no idea what his story is. He is happiest when
running, fetching, and playing. Needless to say, he is frustrated in a shelter setting. Gus is best
with dogs his own size or larger. This boy will require patience while training him out of his
puppyhood.

We’d also love to tell you about volunteering, fostering and adoption opportunities.
Homeward Bound pets are up to date on vaccinations, treated month for fleas, ticks and heart
worms, spayed or neutered and are ready for adoption unless specified otherwise.
We are available for a “meet and greet” by appointment. The address is: 215 Wishon Drive,
Blue Ridge, GA (off Maxwell Road). We do recommend bringing everyone who will be involved
with the new pet; especially your dog(s).

Thank you for your support! We couldn’t survive without the help from our friends!
