42nd Annual Labor Day BBQ & Gospel Music Show
Just For Fun July 23, 2023Three day event. Monday is the big event with BBQ & Music.
Saturday from 9 to 4, visit the PIC-NIC-NAC in the Park. Local artists and crafters sell their creations, area nonprofits share their information and classic cars may even be on display! Concessions available in the park include Bar-B-Q sandwich plates, bottled drinks and snacks. So plan to picnic and stay awhile.
Sunday at 6 p.m. join us in the park for Good Sam’s interdenominational worship service and congregational singing. Stay a while to visit with folks and to enjoy an old-fashioned ice cream social provided by our local Dairy Queen.
Monday, Good Samaritan hosts their 42nd Annual Labor Day Bar-B-Que served with local Blue Grass and Gospel Music. Just follow the smoke or follow the signs to find the park and ticket booths. Meals are served from 11:30 to 6:00…unless we run out of food. Weekend guests and cabin folks checking out can enjoy music and barbecue and even shop downtown before heading home.
Your BBQ plate comes with all the fixins, a bottled drink and a locally grown apple from Merciers Orchard (located just up Highway 5). Choice of meat for your meal would be St Louis Style ribs, pulled pork sandwich or one half chicken. You can stay to enjoy your meal in the park on a picnic table under the tents or use the convenient drive-thru to take meals home for your family and guests.
Bring your lawn chair and plan to stay a while.
No presale of tickets this year, tickets may be purchased at the event.

Thanks for this. I would have liked to know what city it was in without reading the entire article though. Maybe the title or first line could have referenced Blue Ridge.
This is not a comment, it is the website wiping out what I said until I find the “Comments screen in the dashboard” which is impossible to find. There is nothing labeled “dashboard”, and no section called “Comments”.
The website has replaced my comment with an error message that refers to an impossible to find link.
Awful design.

This is so much fun.
