LUMPKIN COUNTY, Ga.- The 4th of July is on Monday and this is what’s happening around the county to celebrate the holiday.

Dahlonega Indpendence Day:

8:00 a.m. Firecracker 5K

11:00 a.m Patriotic Parade

2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Free Concerts

11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Food Trucks

Dusk: Fireworks at the UNG Drill Field

Cumming:

On Monday, July 4th there will be a  July 4th Celebration presented by Andean Chevrolet at the Cumming Fairgrounds. The parade will start at 10 a.m. traveling south on Tribble Gap Road, starting at Forsyth Central High School and ending at the Cumming Fairgrounds. If you want to continue celebrating, head to the Cumming Fairgrounds, 235 Castleberry Road, Cumming, GA. Admission is FREE for all ages. This event will be from 4:00pm-10:00pm. The fireworks show will begin at 9:30 p.m. There will be various attractions inside the Fairgrounds with live music, food, vendors, contests, and more!

7:30 AM – 5K & 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk (Group Shelter)
9:30 AM – Flag Raising & Salute to Veterans (Visitor Center)
10:00 AM – Bike Parade (Visitor Center)
11:00 AM – Paddle Boat Races (Lake Shore)
12:00 PM – Sand Castle Building Judging (Beach)
1:00 PM – Field Games (Ballfield)
5:00 PM – Cottage & Campsite Decorating Contest Judging
7:00 PM – 4th of July Concert featuring In His Name (Lake Pavilion)
