Meet Cassie, a senior “jackabea” (Jack Russell/Beagle mix) who was found as a stray in another county.  The vet thinks she is close to 11 years old; currently weighs 20 lbs. and started her diet yesterday.  When she came in, we thought she was pregnant.  The vet determined that she is not.  However, she is heartworm positive and will start treatment soon.  (HB will cover all of these costs.) She also needs to be spayed. Cassie is not a lap sitter at this time, but wants to be close to you and will be a shadow to your every move.
