Cherokee County Arts Council Presents “The Eye and the After,” A Solo Exhibition by
Kira Bursky
Murphy, NC – The Cherokee County Arts Council (CCAC) is pleased to announce “The Eye
and the After,” a solo exhibition featuring artist Kira Bursky, running from August 1 through
August 31, 2025, at the Center Gallery. An opening reception will be held on Friday, August 1st,
from 5:30 to 7:30 PM, and is free and open to the public. Light hors d’oeuvres and refreshments
will be served.
“The Eye and the After” showcases Bursky’s powerful series inspired by the aftermath of
Hurricane Helene. In this emotionally compelling collection of drawings, created as a response
to the storm’s devastation, Bursky captures a surreal yet deeply human narrative of loss,
resilience, and hope. Through her artwork, she provides a space for connection, healing, and
open conversations about mental health, embracing her community and honoring their
experiences.
Kira Bursky, a multidisciplinary artist known nationally as All Around Artsy, is renowned for her
explorations into mental health, creativity, and the magical potential of art. Her extensive body of
work includes more than 60 internationally acclaimed short films, immersive installations, and
her wearable art brand, All Around Artsy Fashion.
Committed to fostering community connection and creative expression, the Cherokee County
Arts Council invites everyone to experience this profound and moving exhibition.
