The Rhododendron Festival – Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds

Rhododendron’s Peak Bloom time is April & May, and we celebrate with The Rhododendron Festival!
Mark your calendars for four weekends of fun!

Spend a day in one of the most beautiful parts of North Georgia – Hiawassee and the stunning Hamilton Gardens. This magical botanical garden is filled with native wildflowers like trilliums, shooting stars, and trout lilies, and more than 1,500 rhododendrons and native azaleas making it the largest collection in the Southeast! During peak bloom time we will be celebrating our beautiful native flowers with a Rhododendron Festival! The Festival is held in our Courtyard and it will be open 7 days a week for FREE!

The 2025 Rhododendron Festival Schedule:

April 12-May 11, 2025
Open 7 days a week!
Monday–Thursday: 11AM – 3PM
Friday–Sunday: 10AM – 4PM
Admission: $6 donation appreciated
Daily Special Features include:Plant Sales Garden Tours Featured artwork for sale
Wine Bar & Food Court: Savor local wines and delicious bites at our Wine Bar and Food Court, open Saturdays and Sundays from 11 AM – 4 PM.
Seminars and Classes on Sundays
Live Music: Kick back and enjoy live performances from talented musicians every Saturday and Sunday from 12 PM – 3 PM
