Sierra, a young hound mix, had a rough beginning in her short 3 ½ years on this planet. We have promised her that her world just got a whole lot better and all that stuff will be a distant memory. Sierra, when presented with entertainment, will choose a “stuffie” every time. She’s also been known to carry one with her on leash walks. By the way, she loves leash walks and shows it by walking with you and doesn’t pull. Sierra is vetted now, with the exception of enduring heartworm treatment for the next couple months. If you are familiar with hw treatments, she must be kept quiet to keep the heart rate low in order to prevent the nasty heartworms from spreading. It’s a difficult task, at best, to keep stress levels down in a shelter. If you are interested in adopting or fostering her (through her hw treatment), please submit an application on our website.
