Hwy 255 Blues Club

Doors open at 6:00 p.m. and the show begins at 7:00 p.m.. Food to purchase will be available. Ticket Prices are $10 – $20.

Opening the series are local legends Lisa Deaton and the Lammers Brothers. They return to the Hwy 255 Blues Club series as headliners after playing as openers last year. Food available to purchase will be Glenn Dorsey BBQ.

February 3, the Trouble Tones, a high energy blues band take the stage. Great song selection and passion combine to create the new “Best New Blues Band” in Atlanta. Serious musical dues have been paid by members; led by longtime blues vocalist Patrick Vining, whose knowledge of blues is vast, the band is steeped in authentic blues sound. Food available to purchase will be 4 Elephants, Laotian cuisine.

March 2 brings Sheeba the Mississippi Queen and The Bluesman to Northeast Georgia. Born in Mississippi, this uniquely talented Singer/Songwriter joined forces with 4 seasoned Blues Players to present the Music as intended, raw, real, with none of the overkill that is so prevalent today. Out of Ocala, Florida, they are known for powerful real-life storytelling coupled with music that packs the dance floor. Anchored by a solid rhythm section as well as 1950s Chicago influenced keyboards and guitars, the musicians breathe as one. They deliver the dynamic ebb and flow that has always informed the art of the blues. Food available to purchase will be Mutt and Jeffs BBQ.

April 6, The Chris O’Leary Band returns by popular demand. The Chris O’Leary Band is an international touring six-piece high energy horn driven Roots/Blues/Soul band that blends the sounds of Chicago, Memphis and New Orleans. Chris is a former member of Rock & Roll Hall of Famer’s Levon Helms band, The Barnburners. Food available to purchase will be Glenn Dorsey BBQ.

May 4, Mudcat, “Internationally known gospel and bluesman, continues the traditions of the early blues pioneers while adding his own Mudcat edge, resulting in one of Atlanta’s greatest treasures. He regularly performs his Bayou-baked chicken-party revues at Atlanta’s premier blues club, Northside Tavern.” – Atlanta History Center. Food available to purchase will be 4 Elephants, Laotian cuisine.
