Festival of Trees

Bowen’s year end events will culminate in a TREE DECORATING CONTEST going on from November 12 to December 15, 2021. Deadline to enter is November 15, 2021.

On Friday, November 12, we will open our FESTIVAL OF TREES for visitors to come and enjoy exquisitely decorated and artistic trees. Light refreshments and snacks will be available from 1:00 to 4:00p.m. These trees are sponsored and decorated by our wonderful support groups that include Spruill Arts Center Glass artists, Dawson County Woman’s Club, North Georgia Conservation Coalition, Rotary Club of Dawson County, Maggie Mae Creations, Heart in Hand Quilt Guild, Photo Critique Club and more. Prizes will be awarded for the most creative tree as chosen by viewer’s choice ballots, eBlast votes, FaceBook votes and web viewers.Come vote on your favorite by December 15!

Winners will be chosen by viewer’s choice ballots. Prizes will be awarded to the group or organization who gets the most viewer’s choice votes. Winners will be notified December 15th at show’s end.

Individuals, groups and organizations can enter to win prizes. The cost is $100 per decorated tree, enter as many trees as you wish. If Entrant donates a tree and decorations for auction, the entry fee is only $50. The Bowen may, in some cases, provide a tree for you to decorate with your items. Use this Entry Form Entry Festival Trees2021 or enter at the Bowen.

The Bowen is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization and your donation may be tax deductible in accordance tax laws. This event is to help support the Bowen who provides many programs, art shows, and classes as the Bowen continues to celebrate over 20 years of artistic finery of all medias, museum-quality exhibits, fun educational luncheons, and classes of all kinds for adults and children to enjoy.
